We are home to four distinct lighthouses in Dare County and the Currituck Lighthouse in Currituck County, the site of the Wright Brothers' first flight, America's oldest outdoor drama "The Lost Colony", the largest sand dunes on the East Coast - Jockey's Ridge State Park, the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, the new Roanoke Island Festival Park, one of three North Carolina State Aquariums and a host of family activities including watersports, hang gliding, bird watching, museums and art galleries. For those new to the area, the Chamber offers the Outer Banks Detailed Street Map which includes Dare County, Currituck County and Ocracoke Island. Maps are free at the chamber office in Kill Devil Hills or $5 by mail. Other publications and services we offer include Operating a Business of North Carolina's Outer Banks booklet, economic indicators and networking opportunities to help your business grow.
