Celebrating Duck’s Past, Present, and Future

Duck, NC – The Town of Duck is celebrating its 10-Year Anniversary of incorporation throughout 2012. The celebration kicks off with the unveiling of artwork and historical photographs during a reception and ceremony being held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lobby and Conference Room, 1200 Duck Road. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. The exhibit, entitled “Celebrating Duck’s Past, Present, and Future” was assembled by the Town’s Wall Decor Committee which is comprised of local residents and homeowners. The exhibit will be on display throughout the year.

The festivities will continue with the summer events season beginning on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. on the Duck Town Green, 1200 Duck Road, featuring a special celebration concert by The Rhythm in Blue Jazz Ensemble of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band.  Summer events include Duck’s annual 4th of July Parade, evening concerts, and various children’s activities, with the season culminating in the 6th Annual Duck Jazz Festival on Sunday, October 7, 2012.  All events are free and open to the public.
