Grant Application Deadline
OBCF announces deadline for grant requests
The Outer Banks Community Foundation reminds area nonprofit organizations that the deadline for applications for second quarter grants is May 10.
Applications must be completed and submitted online through the, Foundation’s website www.obcf.org. The paperless online process guides applicants through the required items and enables them to attach additional information and materials.
The Foundation accepts grant applications from nonprofits for projects that involve a broad segment of the community, provide an innovative approach to meeting area needs and attract additional funding from other sources.
The Foundation has helped donors give back over $4 million in grants and scholarships to the Outer Banks community since 1982.
Recent grant awards helped initiate the Children & Youth Partnership of Dare County’s Reach Out and Read Pilot Project in pediatricians’ offices and the health department, assisted the Dare County Arts Council in bringing to the area a touring production about Freedom Riders for high school students and helped the Outer Banks Relief Foundation establish the 2-1-1 service call program in Dare County.
By connecting people who care with causes that matter, the Outer Banks Community Foundation helps donors give to meet the area’s most pressing current needs and to support future opportunities. For more information about the online grant process, call the Foundation office at 261-8839 or visit www.obcf.org.
