Free Ready Business Session

Why: Preparing your business for a disaster can help save lives, merchandise and money. That’s why the COA Small Business Center, ECSU’s Small Business and Technology Development Center, and the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce are offering a FREE disaster preparedness course for businesses called ReadyBusiness.

Who: This course is for owners, managers and employees of small and medium-sized businesses

When: You choose which location and date works for your business:
• Tuesday, May 15th from 1:00-4:00 pm at Spa Koru, Avon
• Wednesday, May 16th from 9:00 am to noon at the Pitts Center, Southern Shores

What: After taking part in this training, participants will:
 Understand the need for business continuity and disaster preparedness planning
 Know the concepts of business continuity and disaster preparedness planning
 Discover their disaster risks
 Begin writing their individual disaster plans
