New Requirements for Geothermal Closed Loop Systems

Revisions to the NC Injection Well Construction Standards (15A NCAC 02C .0200)

The North Carolina Plumbing and Mechanical Association (NCPMA) is sponsoring a meeting for Geothermal contractors and well drillers to learn about the new rules and requirements for the installation of geothermal heat pump systems in North Carolina.

Representatives from the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water Quality will be presenting the new rules, technical requirements and the new notification forms and submittal process. 

Representatives from the State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors and the NC Plumbing and Mechanical Association will also be on site to answer questions in regards to Geothermal System Installations.
