The Art Village of Manteo a non-profit (501©3) corporation, is happy to announce that Mojo Collins, NC Blues Legend, will be in concert from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.  Mojo is the recipient of the NC Arts Council Fellowship for Music and Songwriter, and the performer who leaves you wanting more….

The Festivities starting at 1:30 will include Free Food, games, treasure hunt, Support your Local Artist Art Show…Silent Auction and much more. Will start at 10:00 am

Come and visit us before the children go back to school, have a great time , see all the Art Village has to offer currently showcasing 28 artists including one Dog Artist, the infamous Navi-Blu Pardo.  We carry an eclectic mix of local artists in all mediums, so  come and feel the Happy in our Galleries. Our Mission Statement is to assist as many local artists as we can to build viable Art Careers. We do this through the gallery, the marketing and mentoring programs.  We also house the “Art of the Child Gallery”, for children ages 2 years to 17 years to display and sell their art, 50 percent of the proceeds goes to them the other 50 percent is for the Creative Spark Artist School Mentoring program. We are accepting artwork from all the local children , just drop it by and we will frame it and put it up for sale.  Ultimately we would like to see the Art community of the Outer Banks unified in this important Economy producing format.

Ocean Beads Gallery the first bead store of the Outer Banks is back and teaching its Free Jewelry making Classes and has now added Free Wire Wrapping classes , just pay for supplies, and take the classes any time you would like.

All of this is located on the once vacant Weeping Radish site and has brought the life back ….to a  great community gathering place, South US Highway 64 next to Darrell’s Restaurant.   If  you like seeing the change in the site that has been a dark hole for the last 5 years, please attend the concert and let all your friends know…because without community support this community gathering and event venue will return to what it was , an empty memory of what used to be.
