Kayak Adventure on Ocracoke

Join Ridge the Wind Surf Shop and the NC Coastal Federation for a kayak trip in honor of National Estuaries Day, an annual celebration of the vibrant and essential coastal areas where rivers meet the sea. We will launch from the Nc Center for the Advancement of Teaching and paddle over and back to Springer's Point Preserve. Come explore the shoreline along the Outer Banks of North Carolina and learn about different restoration techniques used to protect this fragile habitat. Ocracoke Island is rich in cultural history and the sites we will visit support an astounding array of plant and animal species.

Registration Fees: With kayak rental: $25 for NCCF Members; $35 for for non-members / Bring your own kayak: $15 for NCCF Members; $25 for non-members / Life jackets and paddles provided with kayak rental.

We recommend you bring: Bottled water, towel, hat, sun block, water shoes, sunglasses, and clothes that can get wet. Snacks will be provided. Reservations are required.
