Outer Banks Seafood Festival

Sponsored by the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, Outer Banks Catch, and the Outer Banks Restaurant Association.

The event will focus on fun, education, lots of good local food and entertainment.

There will be hands-on working watermen, Outer Banks fishing boats from the 19th century - a shad boat and sharpie, and educational materials to help give attendees a realistic view of the local fishing industry and the challenges fishermen face bringing fresh seafood to market.

There will be food tents with local restaurants serving local seafood plus cooking demonstrations and cook-offs, live music, kid-friendly activities. 

The Seafood Festival itself will be held on Saturday with a special kick-off celebration event Friday night at Jennette's Pier.
