As is tradition, the day before Thanksgiving in Hatteras Village, a pie sale will make children happy at Christmas time. The traditional pie and baked good sale will be held in front of the Burrus Red & White Market. Proceeds from the pie sale will purchase Christmas gifts for Hatteras Island children.
The Thanksgiving pie sale was started by Allison Fagley and the children at her Friendship Bridge Daycare. Allison died from cancer in January 2011.
Continuing the pie sale tradition are Mandy Curcio, Nancy Scarborough and Holli Peel. The trio will accept pie daontions the day before the sale at Dolphin Realty, 56821 NC 12 in Hatteras.
