Brief Description
As is traditional, a non-sanctioned 5K (3.1 mile) loop, starting on Scarborough Lane in Duck with a finish line full of post race festivities! Runners and walkers of all abilities and ages are welcome. First female, male, and youth (12 and under) finishers get the INFAMOUS pumpkin pies!

This year's event reached capacity in 3 and 1/2 hours! At 600, the Annual Advice 5K Turkey Trot IS CLOSED until next year. We encourage all those who missed the registration deadline to consider making a donation to the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group.
2012 EVENT - RUNNING PINK!
Duck's favorite footrace is a non-sanctioned 5K Run/Walk open to participants of all ages and abilities! Our winner gets a pumpkin pie and this year the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group benefits!
REGISTRATION LIMIT
Registration is limited to assure a safe & fun event for all! Bandits compromise safety and damage the good will we have established with our Town. PLEASE do not ruin the event for others. Registrations are NOT transferable/refundable. We do not maintain a "wait list" or accept provisional registrations based on cancellations or "no-shows." As this is a charitable event, please understand that we can not absorb the cost of mailing unclaimed packets.
2012 BENEFICIARY
This year's event will be raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer...and we're RUNNING PINK! Our 2012 beneficiary will be the Outer Banks Cancer Support Group, a local organization providing support for women in both Dare and Currituck Counties (NC). Your additional purchase of our special edition "Breast Cancer Awareness" ADVICE 5K cap helps! RUN PINK!

PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick-up is Wed., Nov. 21st at Advice 5¢, a bed & breakfast, located at 111 Scarborough Lane, between 2:00 and 6:00 pm OR on race morning beginning at 7:30 until 8:30 am. Information about the race course will be available at that time. Due to limited parking, we encourage registrants to pick up packets for family members and friends. Packets (numbers/tees) are NOT transferable nor will they be mailed to you if you don't check in by the start of the race.
DIRECTIONS - PACKET PICK UP & START LOCALE
Take NC Highway 12 to Duck. Turn onto Scarborough Lane (right, if heading north; left, if heading south). #111 will be on right side of street. PLEASE NOTE -- THERE IS NO PARKING AT THIS LOCATION ON RACE MORNING. We suggest that you make plans to be dropped at the starting area...or if you're in town, walk on over!
RESULTS
The race does not use a professional timing company so "if you really want to know your time, look at your watch!" Finish time results will be uploaded to this site and a link posted on www.advice5.com as well.
