“Once Upon a Time” – Art Show & Wine Tasting

Meet the local creative artist, EM Corsa, who will be exhibiting her newest mixed media paintings. "Once Upon a Time" is a show near and dear to the artist's heart. The theme of the show centers around her favorite childhood stories as seen through her eyes. So far, she has created art based on Alice in Wonderland, King Arthur & the Knights of the Round Table, Chicken Little, Jack and the Beanstalk, Three Blind Mice, The Princess & the Pea and Red Riding Hood. More are on their way. An example as to how she has made these scenes her own, her version of Jack in the Beanstalk: A squirrel wearing a red hat is climbing up a stalk while clutching an acorn and a dragonfly breaths fire down upon him.

She will be happy to dedicate any of her art.

EM Corsa has been a voracious reader since childhood. She felt that it was a perfect time to do this show which she has been thinking about for years. She felt that with the popularity of the movies "Snow White & the Huntsman" and the TV shows, "Grim" and "Once Upon a Time" indicated that the idea for this art show would be well received.

'Vineyards on the Scuppernong', a local vineyard, will also be hosting a wine tasting here that day. Corsa has designed many of their wine labels. We will also have other refreshments and non alcoholic drinks.

The event is free and open to the public.
