The Hatteras/Ocracoke Island Council is dedicated to organizing island businesses in order to further develop and promote our economic, environmental, and cultural treasures. An extension of the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, the Hatteras/Ocracoke Island Council offers the business community the resources to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing world.

Why Have a Council When A Chamber Already Exists?
The Hatteras/Ocracoke Island Council is dedicated to offering resources for our island’s businesses to thrive.  Those resources include events like Chamber Business After Hours, Educational Seminars and Workshops, Committees to monitor and examine local issues, volunteers to work on community projects such as a Community Calendar, special events and promotions.  Goal of this group is to offer networking and "common goal" opportunities to bring businesses of the southern beaches together.
