The Chamber’s Mission Statement States:
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce: Promoting and developing the economic prosperity of our business community through leadership, advocacy, relationship development and innovation.

Over the years, the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce has taken on an important role in the community.  That role is to serve as a connector, an important key to business success, the organization that opens doors for networking and community conversations.  Our Chamber serves as a key to information, legislative involvement, and a connector who can bring the right people together to accomplish goals, to meet the needs of our investors, residents and guests.

The Chamber of Commerce is the only organization that:
connects its members with its members, we
connect members to customers, we
connect the business community with government agencies, we
connect businesses with community organizations, we
connect job seekers with job offerings, we
connect community leaders with leadership opportunities, we
connect current generations with new generations, we
connect citizens with information, we
connect tourists with the city attractions, and we
connect our members with educational opportunities.

The Outer Banks of Commerce is Your Key to Information, Products and Services on North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Our board, staff, members and volunteers work diligently throughout the year to connect and open doors for business owners, community leaders, government agencies, and our visiting public.  We strive to establish connections, build relationships and partnerships for long-range planning, monitoring, preserving and protecting of the special qualities and offerings that make this area unique.  We use the resources of a chamber to accomplish this goal.
 
You are the Key to Our Success:
The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit membership organization with over 1,000 members in Dare County, Currituck County, and Ocracoke Island. We need your support! As a business owner or manager, you are a community partner,  a key to our success.  The strength of our organization is in numbers of members, volunteer involvement and participation from our members. 

As your Chamber Board Chair, I challenge and encourage you to be involved in your Chamber, to commit to being a connector in the community.
