Bad weather, damage to boat to delay Lewis Colam's arrival in
Kitty Hawk, NC to promote Alzheimer fund raising projects
 
This is a update to the PRESS RELEASE issued Friday, April 27, 2012.  Due to poor weather conditions causing damage to his boat, the PRESS CONFERENCE announced for Monday, April 30, 2012 at 12:00 noon has been rescheduled.  Please forward this information along.
 
Lewis Colam is a 24 year old young man from Plymouth, England with no previous seafaring experience, who set out in a 15 foot row boat on March 3, 2012 from Miami, Florida with the goal of rowing 1400 miles to New York City in hopes of raising $50,000.00 for the FISCHER CENTER - an international Alzheimer's research foundation.  He is alone and doing this without the assistance of a motor, sail or any type of modification of the boat to offer protection from the elements.  He may be followed at www.iamfinechallenge.org.
