OBAC is a fishing club representing the interests of the recreational boat angler throughout the greater OBX including safety, good fellowship and true sportsmanship among all anglers. Hold several "members and guests only" tournaments during the various fishing seasons. Tournaments target cobia, tuna, dolphin, red drum, striped bass, all citation species, and we also have a catfish tournament to start-off each year. As a nonprofit, tax-exemption pending organization, our committee intends to secure government grants to construct new off-shore artificial reefs in North Carolina waters reasonably near Oregon Inlet. Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month at the Pitt Center in Southern Shores.

Organizationally, the core of the OBRA is made up of restaurant owners and manager, but the strength of the association lies in its diversity of affiliates. Of course many of our top suppliers are represented, as well as a solid sampling of our media and advertising partners, but many do not realize that anyone can join. You need only to be passionate about food! Some of our most devoted members are just big fans of eating out on the Outer Banks!
