Housekeeping Inspector
Job Location: Kill Devil Hills
Position Summary:
Inspect rooms. Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel’s established standard of productivity and cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies, handling guest requests or complaints courteously, while ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms. Pay rate $18/hour. Full Time, availability on weekends and holidays required. Benefits Medical, 401(k), paid vacation.
Requirements:
- Experience in Housekeeping, with a strong knowledge of The Outer Banks and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
- Ability to push cart with weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to exert the physical effort necessary to clean 18-20 rooms per shift/26 minutes per room.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to follow one or two step instructions.
- A team player and a self-starter, yet able to work independently with Shutter’s standards.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and demonstrated instructions.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guest, co-workers and management to their understanding.
- Ability to use simple addition/subtraction.
- Ability to meet the given deadline of completing 18-20 rooms.
- High School graduate or equivalent required. Must speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
