IT Technician

The Town of Kill Devil Hills is accepting applications for the following position:     IT TECHNICIAN

This position is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Town employees' computer software, hardware, and network connectivity. Additionally, the position will provide technical support for the Town’s telephone system, track maintenance and repairs, analyze computer system productivity, and accurately document work. An ideal candidate possesses knowledge of current information systems technology in hardware, software, phone systems, mobile devices, and various applications used on the assigned systems. The ability to provide a high level of customer support and deal effectively with staff, elected officials, and vendors is essential. Potential candidates should have completed at least a two-year college program with a concentration in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field or an equivalent amount of experience as a computer systems technician, analyst, programmer, or administrator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. A valid N.C. driver’s license is required.  The salary range is $52,560 to $84,097 with an excellent benefits package.
