Job Location: Outer Banks Area Wide
We are looking for someone to join our team! Working in professional pest management is so much more than controlling pest problems. It's also building relationships with customers and educating them about how to reduce the pest problems in their homes or businesses. Technicians conduct inspections, correct pest control problems by applying product, baiting and monitoring, and communicate regularly with office personnel to ensure top quality customer service.
You will be trained in pest control and termite management. You will provide a friendly, cordial service, and work with our customers to build strong relationships and problem solve and recommend actions to prevent future pest control problems. Must be willing to learn and have an interest in pest management.
We are looking for individuals that like working independently in a busy environment, enjoy providing excellent customer service and sales, enjoy "being the expert," and can stay organized and attentive to detail without direct supervision.
No prior experience is necessary as we provide a fully paid comprehensive training program, including state licensing will be given. A truck will also be provided once training and license has been achieved. Previous termite or WDO experience is a plus. Office is located in Grandy, position will be working in Dare.
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Valid motor vehicle operator's license, 5+ years driving experience and good driving record
-Great communication and customer service skills
-Sales skills and experience a plus
-Solid and stable work history
-Work independently, reliably and consistently
-Route experience a plus
-Able to routinely lift 30 lbs.; bend, squat, crawl, reach; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders and occasionally work at heights
-Read and write reports legibly, and comprehend pesticide labels and training materials printed in English
-Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations.
-Be comfortable working with insects and various animals in a variety of environmental conditions.
-Meet State Licensing requirements
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
If you enjoy activities that involve working with your hands, problem solving and figuring things out, you might really enjoy the work of a pest control technician. You must possess a genuine desire to learn the pest control industry.
