We are the site of the Wright Brothers' First Flight and the Hang gliding capital of the world at Jockey's Ridge State Park.  We are America's Birthplace and while here you can see America's Oldest Outdoor Drama "The Lost Colony", The Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, The Elizabethan Gardens and Roanoke Island Festival Park.  Plan to visit our North Carolina Aquarium, the new Jeanette's Pier, our art galleries and museums.
