Economic Development

Sponsored By

The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce covers the entire local region from Currituck County, Dare County to Ocracoke Island in Hyde County.  With a mission to “Empower the Outer Banks business community by promoting and developing economic prosperity”; the Chamber works to ensure that our business climate remains positive and the opportunities for business success are strong. Our Business Retention & Expansion program gives us the opportunity to stay informed of the current business climate as well as identify those businesses that may be looking to expand and grow. Skills gaps and barriers to business success are also identified.

In 2017 Dare County contracted with the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce to handle the economic development activities specifically for the county. This includes working with new business prospects as well as our existing businesses on their location and expansion plans. If you are interested in locating your business to the Outer Banks region, please contact us and we will be happy to work with you.
