Outer Banks Veterans Week is an annual event that showcases the Outer Banks as a welcoming destination for Veterans, active-duty military, and their families. This year it runs November 7 to 15, and Dare Arts has coordinated a lively performance, a creative writing workshop, and a directory of celebrations and specials from Duck to Hatteras Village.
- Letters From Home: a free evening of song, dance, and storytelling at The Pioneer Theater in Manteo, Saturday, November 7 at 7:00 PM. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
- Veterans Writing Workshop: a free two-day creative writing workshop with Veteran and writer Dario DiBattista at the Coastal Studies Institute in Wanchese, November 14 and 15, 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Outer Banks Veterans Week Directory: a calendar of Veteran celebrations, events, and special offers happening around Veterans Day.
